Creating Social Media Concepts and Posts using AI

For my social media managers out there in the Healthcare space... this is for you. My experimentation is providing lengthier, detailed descriptions and seeing if any of these ideas are actually new and unique.

Prompt: Write a list of unique and creative social media campaign concepts to launch a new sports medicine service line for an existing healthcare system on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The campaign should showcase the healthcare system's care, compassion, and expertise, and target potential patients such as local high schools and sports teams, fitness enthusiasts, individuals with sports-related injuries, local sports clubs and organizations, parents of young athletes, and healthcare providers in the area. The concepts should be detailed, unique, and capable of driving traffic and interest. Our goal is reputation building.

ChatGPT Response:

  1. Athlete of the Week: Every week, feature a local athlete whose story demonstrates the benefits of sports medicine for recovery and performance.

  2. Injury Prevention Tips: Create short and engaging videos and posts to provide tips and best practices on how to avoid common sports injuries.

  3. Behind-the-Scenes Videos: Offer virtual tours and video interviews with doctors, therapists, and patients to show how the healthcare system delivers expert care with care and compassion.

  4. Patient Success Stories: Share stories from patients who have recovered from injuries and returned to their sports with the help of the healthcare system's sports medicine services.

  5. Expert Q&A Sessions: Host live Q&A sessions on social media with sports medicine experts, allowing followers to ask questions and learn from the system's top professionals.

  6. Virtual Workouts: Create and share daily workout routines designed by the sports medicine team, featuring exercises that prevent injuries and improve performance.

  7. Influencer Partnerships: Collaborate with local athletes, coaches, and fitness influencers to showcase the benefits of sports medicine and reach a wider audience.

  8. Interactive Contests: Host fun and interactive contests on social media that challenge followers to demonstrate their knowledge and commitment to injury prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.

  9. Educational Events: Host in-person or virtual educational events to share expert knowledge and raise awareness about the healthcare system's sports medicine services.

  10. Social Media Ads: Use targeted social media ads to reach potential patients in the area, focusing on relevant demographics such as fitness enthusiasts, athletes, and healthcare providers.

The goal of these concepts is to drive traffic, build reputation, and showcase the healthcare system's expertise and compassion. By targeting local high schools and sports teams, fitness enthusiasts, individuals with sports-related injuries, local sports clubs and organizations, parents of young athletes, and healthcare providers, these campaigns will help establish the healthcare system as a go-to provider of sports medicine services in the area.

Bard Response:

Sure, here are some unique and creative social media campaign concepts to launch a new sports medicine service line for an existing healthcare system on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok:

  • #AskTheExpert. This campaign would feature short videos of the healthcare system's sports medicine experts answering questions from potential patients about common sports injuries, prevention tips, and rehabilitation. The videos could be posted on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and could be promoted using targeted ads to reach specific demographics.

  • #MySportsStory. This campaign would encourage potential patients to share their own personal stories about how sports medicine has helped them recover from injuries or achieve their athletic goals. The stories could be submitted through a dedicated website or social media form, and would be featured on the healthcare system's social media channels.

  • #GetBackInTheGame. This campaign would focus on helping athletes get back to their sport as quickly as possible after an injury. The campaign would feature information on the healthcare system's sports medicine services, as well as tips on how to recover from an injury and prevent future injuries. The campaign could be promoted using targeted ads to reach athletes who have recently been injured.

  • #SportsMedicineForLife. This campaign would highlight the importance of sports medicine for people of all ages, from young athletes to older adults who are just starting to get active. The campaign would feature information on the healthcare system's sports medicine services, as well as tips on how to stay healthy and active throughout life. The campaign could be promoted using targeted ads to reach people of all ages who are interested in sports medicine.

These are just a few ideas to get you started. With a little creativity, you can come up with a social media campaign that will help you launch your new sports medicine service line and build your reputation in the community.

My thoughts: Some of these concepts are tried and true, so it's super helpful to have a nice list to remind me and maybe fill some content gaps. That said, I don't think there is much creativity here. I think this is where humans still need to handle the concepting. My next step would be to take the ideas I like and go back to ChatGPT or Bard and ask them to provide me with specific post copy and asset suggestions.

Here is an example of how I would follow up with ChatGPT to get more:

Prompt: Write 3 Instagram posts for this idea and provide image and video suggestions: Virtual Workouts: Create and share daily workout routines designed by the sports medicine team, featuring exercises that prevent injuries and improve performance.

ChatGPT response

Instagram Post 1: Image/Video Suggestion: A short video featuring an animated graphic of a person doing a warm-up exercise, followed by a sports medicine expert demonstrating a stretch or mobility exercise that helps prevent common sports injuries.

Caption: "Start your workout the right way! Our sports medicine experts have created daily routines to help you stay injury-free and perform at your best. Follow us for daily workouts and tips!"

Instagram Post 2: Image/Video Suggestion: A time-lapse video of a sports medicine expert demonstrating a full-body workout routine, featuring a mix of strength and mobility exercises.

Caption: "Ready to take your workout to the next level? Our sports medicine team has created a full-body workout routine to help you build strength, improve mobility, and prevent injuries. Check out our daily workouts and let's get moving!"

Instagram Post 3: Image/Video Suggestion: A photo of a person stretching or doing a mobility exercise, with a caption that explains how the exercise helps prevent a common sports injury (e.g., "This stretch helps prevent hamstring strains, a common injury for runners.")

Caption: "Prevention is the best medicine! Our sports medicine team has designed daily workouts to help you stay injury-free and perform at your best. Follow us for daily exercises and injury prevention tips!"

More thoughts: If I were a social media content creator, I would use AI to help me create content. I would use AI to generate ideas for topics, write posts, and even create images. However, I would still be responsible for the overall quality of the content. I would need to make sure that the content is relevant to my audience, engaging, and informative. I would also need to make sure that the content is consistent with my brand voice and guidelines.

Here are some specific ways that I would use AI to create social media content:

  • I would use AI to generate ideas for topics. I would provide AI with a list of keywords or phrases, and it would generate a list of possible topics.

  • I would use AI to write posts. I would provide AI with a topic and some keywords, and it would write a post that is relevant to the topic and includes the keywords.

  • I would use AI to create images. I would provide AI with a description of an image, and it would create an image that matches the description.

I believe that AI can be a valuable tool for social media content creators. It can help us to create more content, more quickly, and at a higher quality. However, it is important to remember that AI is not a replacement for human creativity and judgment. We still need to be responsible for the overall quality of the content that we create.
